Down 1.4 pounds - pretty good for this stage - down a total of over 18 pounds. It seems that yesterday was so good because I did a lot of walking.

Macrobiotic Weight Loss Diet - Day 13 - 14 - 15

Posted by macrobiotic-diet on May 12, 2008

The weekend was an up and down affair. Though if I am lower on Monday morning than I was on Friday morning it seems to spell success. That was the case as I was down .4 pounds. In addition I have been adding exercise on a regular basis so I feel much better than before, in fact downright powerful.

Macrobiotic Weight Loss Diet - Day 12

Posted by macrobiotic-diet on May 9, 2008

Lost .4 pounds - which may sound small, however I never thought I would maintain 1 plus pound weight loss for very long. Ultimately it is a calorie in vs calories burned that fules weight loss.

Preparing well for the weekend so I am expecting good things.

Macrobiotic Weight Loss Diet - Day 10 and 11

Posted by macrobiotic-diet on May 8, 2008

Day 10 was a gain :( of .2 - which was probably salt and water retention related because day 11 was a 1 pound loss ! This is why some people say not to monitor the scale to closely.

I have found myself being tired recently so I have added in more protein ( egg whites ). Though they are not exactly macrobiotic they are low fat and a high quality protein. It could be psychological, however after I added this protein I felt less tired soon afterwords.

Macrobiotic Weight Loss Diet - Day 9

OK I knew this could not last forever - the big weight loss #’s - however .6 pound if done consistently is nothing to sneeze at.

Macrobiotic Weight Loss Diet - Day 8

So the weight loss continues - 1.2 pounds on day eight for a total of over 14 pounds !

Do you think a diet is just a food plan or should be an overall philosophy of life. If you think the latter then macrobiotic weight loss diet is for you. There are some though that feel the underlying philosophy is too much. I saw a funny statement on that basis on a Jewish blog on why someone gave up macrobiotics. They said “one religion was enough for me”.

In fact if one does not embrace the philosophy of Yin and Yang it is doubtful whether they will succeed long term with the macrobiotic diet. So in order to help others discover if this is something they can stick with for life we will start examining the philosophy of macrobiotics and explore if it may be a contradiction or perhaps support for other organized religions.

Macrobiotic Weight Loss Diet - Day Six and Seven

Posted by macrobiotic-diet on May 4, 2008

It is a little hard to post over the weekend so I am combinging two days. My total weight loss for the last two days was 1.2 pounds which for the weekend is very impressive and a total of 13.2 pounds for the week. This was the most I ever lost in a single week.

Though my angle on the macrobiotic weight loss diet is to get to a healthy weight the diet is even more well known for the ability to cure cancer. There are some amazing video interviews on Youtube where macrobiotics cures cancer.

The point is that if this diet is strong enough to cure cancer then imagine how much protection and vitality we can get out of eating this way.

Macrobiotic Weight Loss Diet - Day Five

Still losing weight - yesterday 1.2 pounds and my appetitite has been very tame.  The biggest challenge will the weekend that is coming up.

Macrobiotic Weight Loss Diet - Day Four

Posted by macrobiotic-diet on May 1, 2008

Did you know the definition for Anorexia is loss of appetite? We usually associate it with a disease yet if someone has an overly active desire for food then Anorexia to some extent is healthy.  Currently that is the most shocking thing I am finding is that my desire for food has been greatly reduced.

Eating yesterday was on plan and this morning I woke up to a 2 pound weight loss that makes for a total of over ten !

Macrobiotic Weight Loss Diet - Day Three

Posted by macrobiotic-diet on April 30, 2008

The scale is not an accurate reflection of our health. That being said I was quite happy to see a 3.2 pound loss on my scale this morning. The other thing that was amazing to me was I had a very stressful evening yet I was right on track even though it ended quite late ( after twelve ). I am finding that my appetite is quite controlled since I started with this macrobiotic weight loss diet.

My mentor ( yes I am not crazy enough to do this without guidance ) has lent me a great book by Michio Kushi with a lot of really amazing information and anlysis.

As I begin to make more posts I will get into more details of what I am doing as far as diet is concerned. One thing I have not figured out is how to chew food 50 - 100 times.
